People have asked us what effect our quilting can have on the world. We know that this one effort, like any individual action, can help heal the world of all its ills. Can it change the course of history? Can it shift our trajectory into the future from the present? Perhaps it can, as part of growing global efforts to bring about positive change.
We have begun to understand that the value of our project lies in the doing. We are committed to making a difference. We do not simply sit anxiously by while history determines the shape of our future. We are reaching out from out quilting frame to others, creating a peaceful world one stitch at a time.
